“To Whom It May Concern,

IELC is a great place to develop and flourish as a teacher. I came there with not more than one year of classroom experience, and several years of online teaching experience, and the work that I did at IELC was the most challenging and valuable I have done in the field. Through teaching in diverse settings, frequent observations and feedback sessions, and regular meetings and workshops, I was able to very quickly see where and how to improve my skills and given the motivation to do so. Working alongside friendly teachers was a daily source of guidance and inspiration to maintain a high standard of work. The amazing staff also made me feel very welcome and happy to be at the school. They do their absolute best to keep teachers secure and comfortable while living in Solo.”

“To any prospective IELC teachers,
First of all, good choice! I couldn’t imagine a more welcoming, nurturing (for both teachers and students), and professionally-run environment for a teacher, especially one who is just starting out, as I was at the beginning of 2017. Coming into the teaching profession, I was nervous about the challenge of teaching my first Real Life Classes with Real Life Human People, but with such understanding and encouraging bosses, supportive and dedicated resource and admin staff, and an army of strong, skilled and kind teachers to back me up when I needed help,I had absolutely nothing to worry about. On the contrary, having the opportunity to teach students from primary school level to adult professionals allowed me to rapidly expand my skillset and my confidence in the classroom.”

pasfoto-jason-ok“To whom it may concern,
I would like to express my thanks to Nina, Anthony and everyone else, for having me at IELC, from 2015-2016. I will share some thoughts about my experience. The HR do an excellent job of making sure that visas and work permits are made on time and that salaries are paid on time. The front and backroom staff try to provide teaching staff with up to date information about teaching schedules, they will go out of their way to try to help teachers to find teaching materials or print materials before class.”

pasfoto-waskito-ok“To whom it may concern,
Having graduated from college in 2015, I needed a job that would give me not only financial stability but also a chance to grow as a person. I couldn’t have found a better place to work, the best coworkers and friends to have than IELC Solo. It isn’t just a workplace, IELC has been a sanctuary for me for the past year and half in my preparation to apply for University. It also has taught me what education should be. If you ever need to study for ielts or toefl, you won’t find a better place to study than IELC, don’t expect it to be easy though. Ielc will push you to study many hours and give you a whole bunch of homework so that you achieve to your target. There is no shortcut, just pure hardwork and commitment.”

IELC is a great place to work. Nina and Anthony are great to work for. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The school is committed to continually improving. They are always seeking feedback on how to make things better and then they implement the suggestions.
I enjoyed the smaller class sizes and the consistent schedule. Everything was set up well so I really didn’t have to worry about anything except teaching. I wholeheartedly recommend IELC to teachers looking for a positive workplace where you can work at your craft.”

Marcellina“To those that are interested in knowing more about IELC,

It is a fantastic school!
I was a teacher at IELC between January 2014 and July 2015. Personally, I found IELC a warm and welcoming place, full of wonderful people. It was founded by the directors, Anthony and Nina, who are a really down-to-earth and easy-going couple. The school is very professional, yet it has a nurturing, family-friendly environment that shows it cares about the students and their welfare. My fellow teachers were incredible colleagues, always happy to answer questions, help with lesson plans and give wise advice.”

Yessy“To whom it may concern,

I had the privilege of working in IELC as a full time teacher from April 2014 to January 2015. Prior to this, I had been teaching for six years and had worked in other language schools in Jakarta, Tangerang, Banten and Solo. During my period of employment, I am grateful to have been given the rare opportunity to reevaluate and reassess my teaching style, which therwise would have easily been overlooked.”  ….. read more

Garreth“To whom it may concern,

I worked as a full-time English teacher at IELC from February 2009 to January 2010. During this time, I had the opportunity to develop close professional ties with management, administrative staff and teaching staff at IELC. My experience has been a very positive one and I have always been treated in a professional and courteous manner at the school. Perhaps the most distinctive feature of this school has been the openness and approachability of management. Management has always encouraged suggestions and new ideas, and they have always proved open to change.” ….. read more

James“To whom it may concern,

I worked at IELC from November 2010 until March 2014. I signed my first one-year contract fully expecting to move on to another South East Asian country after 12 months. Little did I know just how much I would enjoy working at IELC and living in Central Java, Indonesia!
Anthony and Nina are very supportive bosses and if you work hard for them they will work twice as hard for you. I never had any problems with being paid on time or with the accommodation that was provided as part of my contract. Also, the local Indonesian teachers and support staff are all great and very welcoming to new and old teachers alike.” ….. read more

Johnny Sanchez“To whom it may concern,

I worked at IELC as a full-time English language teacher from 2010-2012 and never wanted to leave. The working environment at the school far exceeded my expectations for being in a city in Indonesia and would have exceeded them even if the school was located in a fully developed country. My experiences at IELC were almost always positive. The only negative experiences were struggles in the beginning not understanding the language, but it is easy to pick up and most of the staff know enough English to communicate.
IELC is well run and is located in the center of the city. The school has many resources ranging from grammar books, flash cards, cd players, teacher computers, projector availability, and is well staffed.” ….. read more
